After an exhaustive diligence period in 2018, Harvest Properties purchased 1990 Bay, 1175 Weeks and 1250 Weeks in April 2019. Harvest is excited to partner with EPA on this development and is looking forward to being part of the community long-term.
The Pre-Application process was our first opportunity to present our ideas and a starting point for discussion and feedback. It allowed us to have a real conversation with the City and community in order to receive the feedback we needed in order to further shape our project. Harvest proposed a range of uses including research and development, lab, office, retail, and community dedicated space. This included 7 acres of public open space and significant infrastructure improvements that benefit the site and the surrounding community. This was just a starting point and this initial proposal continued to change as more feedback was received.

While we held many informal meetings with members of the community that helped inform the project's direction, these were the first 'virtual' Community Presentations to obtain feedback on the proposed plan (go to 'Community Presentations' tab). In this 2-part, virtual video presentation, we introduced the community to who we are, explained the process and work done-to-date, provided an overview of the project's core principles, and walked through the proposed community benefits. We also provided a link to a survey to obtain additional feedback from the community.

At our Community Meeting on Feb. 4th, we presented the project (via Zoom) to the community, and most importantly, provided a forum for public input and comments. We discussed the results of the community survey, reviewed the project's core principles and community benefits, and provided an overview of the project's plans and design. At the Planning Commission Study Session, similar to our presentation to the Community on Feb. 4th, we provided an overview of the project (via Zoom) to the City's Planning Commissioners. We discussed the results of the community survey, reviewed the project's core principles and community benefits, and provided an overview of the project's plans and design. The Commissioners and community members then asked questions to City staff and the Harvest team as well as provided their input and comments.

On Oct 14th, Harvest submitted its Major Application to the City. Since the time of our Pre-Application submittal, we heard from the City as well as many community stakeholders and neighbors about the importance of providing affordable housing as part of our project. With the acquisition of 1103 Weeks Street, our project now includes a mixed-use, 95-unit, 100% affordable housing development, with ground floor, community-serving civic space, as well as a parking garage. We acknowledge that the City is in the process of updating the Ravenwood/4 Corners Specific Plan (last updated in 2013). Harvest has participated in all of the community and public meetings as part of the Specific Plan Update process. The purpose of the Specific Plan Update is to study the RBD's true capacity and the associated impacts and benefits provided for any additional development. Harvest understands that the outcome of this process and the development scenario chosen by the City for additional environmental review could potentially impact The Landing project, and result in further revisions to the project, as currently proposed and submitted as part of the Major Application. We look forward to continued collaboration with the City and the community to develop, update and refine our plans.
